Brandon Tran

Brandon Tran is a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of California, San Diego, pursuing a double major in Real Estate Development and Urban Planning. With a focus on urban development and housing policy, Brandon is interested in a career in housing development—particularly in project management and coordination roles.

Raised in Eastern San Diego, Brandon’s passion for housing and community was shaped early on through exposure to housing incentives and industry dynamics. During college, he completed internships across the nonprofit, public, and private sectors, developing a well-rounded skill set.

As a Merritt Scholar, Brandon looks forward to deepening his knowledge of the affordable housing industry and connecting with professionals who share his commitment to building sustainable, inclusive communities.
