Emma Lohmann Barker

Emma Barker is a Master of City Planning student at UC Berkeley, concentrating in Housing, Community, and Economic Development. Having lived in cities across the West Coast where the affordability crisis continues to worsen, she is committed to expanding access to quality affordable housing.

With a background in affordable housing development at Eden Housing, Emma is especially interested in decommodifying housing and exploring new financing tools to increase production and preservation efforts in California. As a Merritt Scholar, she looks forward to building relationships across the industry and learning from her cohort and mentors.
