Monica Tavassoli
Monica Tavassoli is a graduate student in Sustainability Science and Practice at Stanford University, focusing on sustainability in the built environment. She is pursuing a career in housing development, exploring how innovative design, construction, and investment strategies can deliver high-impact, financially viable, and durable housing solutions.
Monica believes housing is the foundation of opportunity, shaping outcomes in health, education, and economic mobility. Her experience spans real estate private equity, 3D-printed home construction, and housing policy and planning. Most recently, she partnered with Jamboree Housing Corporation to strengthen its community investment strategies.
As a Merritt Scholar, Monica looks forward to deepening her technical knowledge and building the relationships needed to drive practical, scalable solutions in affordable housing development.
