Rediet Retta

Rediet Retta is a Master of Urban Planning student at the University of Southern California with a strong interest in community development and affordable housing. Her intersecting identities and lived experiences have inspired her to create more equitable cities and communities.

Rediet is particularly interested in how strategies like mixed-income housing, adaptive reuse, and transit-oriented development can expand access to affordable housing across income levels. She is excited to join the Merritt Scholars community to collaborate with peers who share her passion and bring diverse perspectives.

She looks forward to gaining mentorship and industry exposure to support her goal of making a meaningful impact in the affordable housing field.
