Ali Day

Acquisition Associate

Ali Day brings over four years of experience in housing development, with much of her focus on project management. As both a Merritt Scholar and HDTI graduate, Ali exemplifies the impact of our Commitment to California programs.

Prior to Merritt, Ali spent over nine years at LA Family Housing, where she held multiple roles—from Executive Assistant to the CEO to Project Manager—gaining deep, hands-on experience in real estate development and learning the ins and outs of affordable housing.

As Merritt’s Acquisition Associate, Ali implements Merritt’s policies and procedures for originating, underwriting, and closing low-income housing tax-credit (LIHTC) equity investments, monitors Merritt’s affordable housing investments under construction, manages project conversions following construction completion, and ensures that projects transition smoothly to asset management.

Ali has earned a Master of Urban Planning from CSU Northridge and a bachelor’s degree in Geography, both from UCLA.
