Maria Landeros

Investor Relations Coordinator

Maria Landeros is Merritt’s Investor Relations Coordinator, who brings a unique experience and wide range of skill sets in the affordable housing space. As a dedicated advocate for social change and community empowerment, Maria’s background has focused on providing quality education and resources to those who may not have the voice or means to truly thrive in their local communities.

Her journey began at the YWCA Harbor Area, a 100+ year old non-profit in San Pedro, where she grew up. During her time here, Maria established the Second Chances program, providing essential vouchers for clothing and household goods to support individuals and families in need. Since 2024, she has played an active role as a board member for YWCA.

Prior to Merritt, she served as Resident Relations Manager at SoLa Impact, helping over 6,000 community members across 300 properties in Los Angeles. Her work helped residents remain housed and access the resources they needed to feel safe and supported, creating a natural alignment with Merritt’s mission.

Maria earned her bachelor’s degree from California State University, Long Beach, and holds a Marketing and Design Certificate from Loyola Marymount University. She is a REACH Cohort Chair and committee member with the Urban Land Institute, a program that supports underrepresented individuals in the commercial real estate and land use space. Maria brings a mission-aligned, people-first approach to her work and is excited to continue driving change in the affordable housing industry throughout the state of California.
