Projects

2025

Our 2025 projects span eight counties across California, bringing much-needed affordable housing to communities statewide. Through nine projects, we are creating 609 homes for low-income households, including 265 units dedicated to supportive housing for individuals, families, and persons with HIV/AIDS. We are grateful to our project and financial partners, whose collaboration and dedication made these projects possible.

Key 2025 projects included:

  • Casa de la Luz (Los Angeles, CA): Developed by Hollywood Community Housing Corporation, this new construction LIHTC project will provide housing for 93 low-income households, including 40 units for those who are homeless with special needs. As part of the AHSC award received for this project, Casa de la Luz will provide significant street, bicycle, and pedestrian improvements, which will also contribute to greenhouse gas reduction efforts in East LA.
  • Donner Field Senior Apartments (Sacramento, CA): Developed by Eden Housing, Donner Field is a new construction senior community, available to 67 households aged 55+ earning at or below 60% of the area median income, with 17 units set aside for individuals experiencing homelessness. In addition, the project will be all-electric and is anticipated to receive GreenPoint Rated Gold certification.
  • Orchard View II (Gridley, CA): Developed by The Pacific Companies, Orchard View II is a new construction project that will house 36 family households in rural Butte County. This project follows the successful completion of Orchard View’s first phase, which was completed last year with Merritt as its equity investor as well.

“At Merritt, our partnerships are at the core of our work, and we approach every challenge with a solutions-oriented mindset. By working closely with project sponsors, investors, and funders, we are proactively committed to finding solutions as a team, ensuring the affordable homes we invest in can succeed and support communities for the long term.”
