Commitment to California Program Manager

Title: Commitment to California Program Manager

Reports to: President and CEO

Job Location: Office in Oakland, California.  Remote work within California will be considered; Preferred within any of the following metropolitan areas: Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, San Francisco Bay Area, or Capital Region.  If in San Francisco Bay Area, work from Oakland two days a week.

Position Overview: The Commitment to California Program Manager is responsible for administering Merritt’s Commitment to California Initiative (C2C), a comprehensive human capital development program to attract, train, and retain the next generation of affordable housing professionals with a focus on making the industry more diverse, equitable, and inclusive.  C2C includes an internal in-house scholarship/mentorship program called Merritt Scholars and partnerships with external partners funded by Merritt that provide internships, fellowships, training programs, etc.

The right candidate for this position will be a mission-driven, energetic, creative, self-motivated, and outgoing individual who is passionate about affordable housing, professional development, and assisting people in finding purpose-driven and impactful careers.

Asset Manager

Reports to: Director of Asset Management
Job Location: Office in Oakland, California / Remote work within California will be considered; Preferred within any of the following metropolitan areas: Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, San Francisco Bay area, or Capital Region

Position Overview: Merritt is seeking a mission-driven, detail oriented and collaborative Asset Manager to join our team. The Asset Manager will oversee a growing portfolio of affordable housing assets across the State. In this position you will exercise proactive asset management of Merritt’s investment from lease up throughout the compliance period to ensure tax credits are received and reduce risk of recapture.
